In order to help married women fulfill their dream of becoming a model after marriage, Belinda Mabote, a Motwana designer, has established a model agency for married women called The Runway MRS. “We only sign married women for modeling to advertise and promote products and services for clients.

We encourage married women to have hobbies in marriage. As beautiful as marriage is, spousal duties and parenthood can be overwhelming at times. Therefore, with this agency for married women, we mainly focus on the beauty and fashion industry, including lifestyle,” she revealed to Arts & Culture in an interview. Mabote also said that when women get married, they sometimes forget their dreams and hobbies.
She added that sometimes married women forget to make time for themselves. “I decided to start this agency to give married women a platform to model, do business and have fun all at the same time.

I kindly ask for all kinds of support. We recently had a dinner party (Saturday) and people can visit our social media platforms like Facebook to see what the modeling agency is all about,” she added. Mabote added that they are currently working on a modeling contest and they already have the top six models who will be competing for the final on November 13, 2021 at Lasante, CBD in Gaborone.
