According to League City Police, a man who posed as a modeling agent to sexually assault a young child has admitted to the act and is now in jail.

Detectives say Joel Christopher Acuna, 27, used a social media app called LIKEE to contact the child on December 8, claiming to be an agent who could help the child become a model, according to the League Police Department. City. He showed up at the child’s home in the 100 block of Rocky Cove Lane shortly before noon the same day, police said.

Once inside the home, the man sexually assaulted the child, police said.

After detectives released home surveillance photos of Acuna and his car on Tuesday morning, he turned into a police officer, authorities said. He admitted to sexually assaulting the child and was charged.

He is being held in jail on $250,000 bond.
